Understanding VAT
When you shop with us, you can choose to see prices including or excluding VAT using the toggle in the menu bar. Which price actually applies to your order depends on where you're buying from. Here's how it works.
In the EU
CrabJuice Accessories AB is a Swedish company, so all our sales to EU customers are subject to EU VAT rules. Thanks to the EU's One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme, we charge VAT at the rate that applies in your own country, so the price you see at checkout already reflects your local rate.
If you're a VAT-registered business elsewhere in the EU, you may be able to buy at the excl. VAT price using the reverse charge mechanism. You add your VAT number at checkout.
In Sweden
Sweden's standard VAT rate (moms) is 25%, and it applies to all domestic orders, whether you're buying as a private individual or a business. The reverse charge mechanism only applies to cross-border business purchases within the EU, so it doesn't apply to Swedish companies buying from us, since we're a Swedish company too.
Outside the EU
Orders shipped outside the EU aren't charged EU VAT, so the excl. VAT price is generally what you'll pay us. Once your order arrives, your own country may charge import VAT, GST, or customs duty, depending on local rules and the value of your order. Those charges (if any) are collected by your local customs authority or courier, not by us, and they're your responsibility as the buyer.
Not sure what applies to you?
This page is general information, not tax or customs advice. Rules and thresholds vary by country and can change, so if you're unsure what applies to your specific order, we'd recommend checking with your local customs authority or a tax advisor. You're also welcome to reach out via our contact form or the chat box on our site if you have questions about your order specifically.
